This Privacy Policy explains how pubgenius Inc. ("pubgenius") handles information in connection with pubgenius. We collect as little as possible to run the product.
1. Information We Collect
Operator accounts. When a venue operator signs up, our identity provider collects account details such as name, email, and organization. Venue & game data. We store the question sets, games, and results you create. AI generation. When you generate questions, the topic and prompts you provide are sent to our AI provider to draft questions.
2. Players Are Anonymous
Patrons who join a game do notcreate accounts and do not provide personal information. They pick a display name, which is stored only on their own device (in the browser's local storage) to make rejoining easier. We do not collect player names, emails, or contact details on our servers.
3. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and to keep operators signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Service Providers
We rely on third parties to operate the service, including our authentication provider (Clerk), AI provider (Anthropic), database host, and hosting/deployment platforms (Vercel, Railway). These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
5. Data Retention
We keep operator and game data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise them, email us at the address below.
7. Children
The operator product is not directed to children under 18. The player experience collects no personal information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
